Chassis Influence on the Exposure Assessment of a Compact EV during WPT Recharging Operations

In this study, the external magnetic field emitted by a wireless power transfer (WPT) system and internal electric induced in human body models during recharging operations of compact vehicle (EV) are evaluated. The magneticfield is calculated with hybrid scheme coupling boundary element method surface impedance conditions order to fit multiscale open-boundary characteristics problem. A commercial software then used perform numerical dosimetry. Specifically, two realistic anatomical models, both driving position standing posture, considered, chassis EV modeled either as currently employed aluminum alloy futuristic carbon fiber composite panel. Aligned misaligned coil configurations WPT considered well. analysis obtained results shows that International Commission on Non-Ionizing Radiation Protection (ICNIRP) reference levels exceeded position, especially for chassis, whereas compliant basic restrictions, at least scenarios.
